Proven tolerance
Dermalive® and Dermadeep® are made of flexible
particles of acrylic hydrogel and byaluronic add of non-animal origin.

tolerated in the eye.
How
is such a tolerance possible? Simply thanks to its high water content

are trapped inside the acrylic hydrogel molecules. This high water
content helps obtain remarkably flexible, elastic and resistant
particles, which are gently integrated into the tissue and adapt to any
deformation of the dermis caused by the movement of the facial muscles.

Precise
application thanks to hyaluronic acid
Dermalive® and Dermadeep® are injected in the
appropriate layer of the skin in order to create volume wherever
required.
Hyaluronic acid serves here
as an injection vector. Thanks to its viscoelastic and fluid properties,
the positioning of the Acrylic Hydrogel particles is easy, accurate and
reliable.
The
distribution of the particles is even and harmonious throughout the
dermis... for even smoother results...
Immediate
and efficient treatment
Who
hasn't dreamt of a solution that lasts for years, one that doesn't
require repeated injections every three to six months? That's where the
real advantage of Dermalive® and Dermadeep® lies, offering reliable and
efficient results for several years.
After
each injection of Dermalive® or Dermadeep®, around 40% of the implant is
retained permanently in the dermis. The hyaluronic acid disappears
within a few weeks, which gives the acrylic hydrogel particles time to
be evenly placed throughout the dermis. During the 3 months following
the injection, these particles are surrounded by new collagen fibres
produced by your own body thanks to a natural process, which completes
the filling of the treated area.
Given
that the increase of tissue volume and the degradation of hya-luronic
acid vary according to individual patients, the treated areas and the
deepness of the cutaneous depression to correct, one or two touch up
sessions may be considered for achieving the expected results. In any
case it is necessary to wait at least three months between two injection
sessions.
Despite
their permanent nature, Dermalive® and Dermadeep® cannot stop the skin
ageing process. Therefore one or more retouching sessions may be needed
after a few years.
These
treatments may be performed in about 30 minutes (e.g. during lunch
break). You can return to work and normal activities immediately
afterwards.
For what indications?
Dermalive® is recommended for the long-term
filling of deep wrinkles such as nasolabial folds and bitterness
wrinkles and for reshaping lip contours.
Dermadeep®
has been designed for correcting very pronounced nasolabial folds and
for remodelling facial contours by adding extra volume where required
(cheeks, cheekbones and chin).
Could they
have side effects?
A
little redness and oedema, with or without pain, may develop after the
injection, usually disappearing spontaneously within a few hours or
days.
Occasionally,
a localised inflammatory reaction may occur several months after the
injection, which can happen with any implant (resorbable or non-resorbable).
Although these complications are occasional, you need to be informed
about such possibilities. Ask your doctor for a description of the risks
associated with any treatment in which you are interested.
If
any side-effect appears, immediately consult your doctor who will start
the appropriate treatment.
Should any precaution be taken after the injection?
You
should avoid using make-up during the 12 hours following the injection.
You must also avoid saunas, Turkish baths, UV radiations and intense
cold for two weeks. If you go out in the sun, you should apply total sun
block on the injected area for 10 days.
What are the
contra-indications?
Dermalive®
and Dermadeep® are not recommended for filling superficial wrinkles or
for being used on patients with thin skin. Nor are they recommended if
another filling implant already exists in the treatment area.
It is
essential to have a prior doctor consultation during which you will
dearly express your expectations and inform him about your medical
history. Your doctor will help you determine what is possible to achieve
and if these treatments are the right choice for you (i.e. suited to
your individual case). He will assess whether there are
contra-indications or not in your case.
